Common Management Aptitude Test - CMAT

Attention all MBA aspirants, soon enough there will be no MAT, No CAT examination. Instead a new exam will be introduced i.e. Common Management Aptitude Test or CMAT. All India Council for Technical Education is planning to pass a new decision where Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) will be conducted from the year  2013. Now all management students will have to take CMAT or Common Management Aptitude Test, and forgo CAT and MAT. Only time will tell on the success on this new initiative.

This CMAT score card is applicable for admission to various MBA courses and post-graduate diploma in business management courses. Though CMAT will be held in 2012 but from 2013 all admissions will be based on the merit obtained in the  CMAT Entrance exam. This decision will soon be taken by AICTE in order to reduce financial burden and stress on students of taking so many entrance examinations.

Therefore from the year 2013, admission to 4,000 colleges that offer an MBA Course and another 500 Institutes which run Post Graduation diploma in management programs will take place on the basis of the Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT)
